Hi I’m Amy. I started this blog to share our adventures in and around Bath with the hope of making it easier for you to discover new places and fun things to do.
Our tale is all too familiar. We had busy working and social lives in London but after our daughter, Evie, was born we moved to Bath to be surrounded by nature. We have since welcomed a son, Barney and have fallen in love with Bath. Top of my husband’s wish list was being able to go mountain biking from home and I wanted the perfect balance of country and city that Bath has to offer. We are creatures of habit but crave the excitement of exploring and discovering new places.
I’ve always loved to walk and hike, swim and travel and I long for adventure. Now I’ve got two very young children those adventures need to be on a much smaller scale and planned in finer detail. It’s been challenging finding the time to research new places, but I’ve been slowly accumulating information for different places we’ve visited and places we’d like to visit. Now I’m getting some more sleep and bit more time, I thought I’d share our discoveries in the hope you’re inspired to try somewhere new.
Adventure is a state of mind, a spirit of trying something new and leaving your comfort zone. It’s about enthusiasm, ambition, open-mindedness and curiosiry.

I’ve recently returned to work part time and work in ESG & Corporate Responsibility, helping large companies develop and implement their responsible business strategy. My current role focuses on delivering a Human Rights Programme and some Diversity, Equity & Inclusion projects. It’s been an interesting and challenging transition and to be honest I’m still finding my feet.
Part of this blogging/website adventure is to learn how to build a website. With two young children in tow and now work it’s a long, slow process. I’m ok with things looking a bit odd here and there, and things may not be as perfect as my critical eye may wish.
