White Row Farm, Cafe & Shop

There’s a lot going on at White Row Farm. We love it for the huge play area and animal paddock for the children. There’s also a large cafe onsite as well as a popular fish & chip shop, a well stocked farm shop with local, organic produce and homewares shop.

We noticed the farm on the way to Longleat, it’s about half an hour from Bath, near Frome. It’s been a great place to meet friends with children as there’s something for everyone and plenty of seating if it rains. It does mean it’s hugely popular but there’s plenty of indoor seating and space for a picnic blanket on a sunny day.

They do Christmas very well at White Row, with hampers, gifts, Christmas trees, festive foodie treats and much more.

The Play Area There’s three huge play structures, a ride on tractor area, a large sandpit with diggers and a huge field with goals posts. There’s picnic benches dotted about the field and positioned beside the animals.

The Animal Paddock. There’s a number of farm animals to say hi to, chickens, pigs, donkies and some alpacas. Mine also love the farm vehicles which are often working away.

The Cafe. The cafe serves hearty food from a varied menu. We’ve enjoyed Sunday lunch in the cafe as well as takeaway cake and coffee in the play area. They’ve recently added a large covered outdoor seating area which is lovely.

The Fish & Chip Shop. The popularity of the award winning fish and chip shop speaks for itself. They serve traditional favourites like cod, sausage in batter and home made burgers. They make their own fishcakes, sauces and their fish is fresh from their own fishmongers, pan fried to order.

The Fam Shop There’s a fishmongers, butchers, deli and home grown veg. As well as White Row’s own produce, they sell as much local produce as possible supporting over 80 artisan makers, farmers, growers & suppliers. There’s fresh bread, milk, cakes, beers and spirits.

The Gift Shop. A lovely shop to potter around, there’s gardening related bits and gifts for children. There’s also a florists onsite for beautiful bouquets.
