OUR VISIT
We really enjoyed this countryside wander with friends, 1 year old in a carrier and our 3 year old on foot, which she managed with only a few shoulder rides. It’s short 3km circular walk, mostly flat, with beautiful views and a tasty cheesy toasty at the end. It took us about an hour which was perfect with the little ones in tow. It’s not an animal farm per se but there are chickens, cows and horses in the nearby field for the kids to see.
THE WALK – 3 km, 1 hour, mostly flat
Starting at Bath Soft Cheese, (who are happy for walkers to use their car park), head past the chickens through the stile on the right. The path follows the fields then opens up into a wide track down to the river. Head around to the left along the river then back up across fields back to the farm.
Bath Soft Cheese Map & Directions: below is a fully interactive map with directions, elevation & distances. Download the plotaroute app to follow the route with a few simple steps.

The cafe has small children’s playground outside with swings, slides and wooden climbing structures. They offer a menu to takeaway or eat in, as well as a delivery service. You can also get your fresh milk refills here, either bring along your own bottles or buy one at the cafe.
We’re big fans of Bath Soft Cheese, which is organic and made by hand onsite at Park Farm with milk from their own cows. The farm is entirely organic meaning no fungicides, pesticides or artificial fertilisers are used on the land. The environment, land and the waterways remain uncontaminated.

ALTERNATIVE WALK
Bath Soft Cheese have a much longer 15km circular walk on their website, with a PDF map. You need to take a detour to get to the cafe but it is well worth it.
I’ve added the map to plotaroute so you can follow it on the app.
